Emergency Shelter Program
Our emergency shelter provides a confidential, safe, and supportive space for individuals and families escaping domestic violence and sexual violence. We welcome all survivors, including their children and vaccinated pets, because we believe healing should happen together. During a stay, survivors have their basic needs met including hygiene essentials. Assistance is provided to access food and clothing resources. The length of stay is unique to each situation.
Capacity Coaches work closely with each resident to provide personalized support, helping them maintain self-determination and focus on safety and healing. Survivors can also participate in educational and support groups for adults and children, as well as activities designed to build a positive mindset. For those navigating legal challenges, lay legal advocates are available to provide guidance and connect survivors with the resources they need. At CRRCS, our shelter is more than just a place to stay, it’s a foundation for hope and new beginnings.
Transitional Housing Program
Transitional housing is available for survivors who need more time and stability to reach their identified personal goals to achieve self-sufficiency. While residents are responsible for rent, a security deposit, and the last month’s rent, the cost is intentionally kept well below market rates to support long-term economic stability. Survivors living in transitional housing have access to the same comprehensive supportive and advocacy services offered in our emergency shelter program, including individualized capacity coaching, legal advocacy, education, and group support. Vaccinated pets that are part of the family at the time of application are also welcome, ensuring that no survivor has to choose between safety and staying with their companion animals. This program offers a safe, affordable, and empowering space to continue healing and rebuilding.
